Around Town: South Bark Dog Wash

First and foremost, meet our new addition~

That's Rufus. He's got issues. He was abandoned by some jackass of a human being in 110 degree heat in the High Desert. People are the worst. Thankfully for everyone involved, Rufus is now a member of Casa Wheeler. He's having some serious trust issues, everything scares him and he'd prefer if he could hide in the dark for the rest of his life. Though there are times I feel the same way, we knew right away that something had to be done. Thankfully, a friend of ours pointed us in the direction of South Bark Dog Wash and their hilarious trainer, Kate Palese. She took pity on us and gave us an in-home session last Sunday since Rufus was in no mood for the outside world. She gave us some amazing starting-out points and went above and beyond to get us all of the info she could on shy pups. Rufus is doing slightly better everyday and I think in no time he'll be my BFF. Afterall, we both like to watch Law & Order, eat chips and miss Dusty when he's gone.

p.s. They also have some swanky Blueberry Facial that we'd love to try once Rufus is a little less scared as well as all kinds of food, treats and accessories!

Blueberry Facial!
