The Piet is probably the most brilliant/useful thing (that still has a great design aesthetic) that I've ever seen. I'm always freezing and we don't have central heat OR a fireplace so this free-standing fireplace is something I would LOVE to have. Designed by Fredrik Hylten-Cavallius, the ceramic outside always stays cool due to the fire insulation and reflective material on the inside. All this being said, it's definitely not a great idea for those of you with kids, clearly. One indoor game of hide and seek and all hell would break loose. Also, Rufus has no control over the wagging of his tail so this probably wouldn't work in our home anyway. But that doesn't mean we can't admire the lovely photos~
