Artsy: One in 8 Million
Last year,
The New York Times started a audio/photographic series called
One in 8 Million. The goal of the project was to showcase a handful of the unique individuals who live in New York City. The series ended last month and now has over 50 stories to tell about some of the characters of NYC. One of my favorites is actually
the first, though it's pretty hard to choose. I often stare at the hundreds of cars racing down the freeway on my way tofrom work and wonder what each of those people's stories are... where are they going? Are they late? Stressed? Excited? This is a sneak peak inside what might actually be happening to their lives. Kinda voyeuristic and kinda awesome.
