I just found this serious gem of a song on NPR's list of albums you're too cool to like. Take a listen to this and see if you can figure out what song Booker T is covering~
Spoiler alert: It's Hey Ya by Outkast. What?! I know! SO good! I mean, I do like me some Outkast but this is such a fun and funky cover... I am obsessed. It makes me yearn for summer and driving around with the windows rolled down. The album is called Potato Hole
and it's a really fun, different take on Booker T's melodies since he's backed by The Drive By Truckers instead of the trusty old MGs. Definitely worth buying at least the Hey Ya single!
