Remember that adorable, fun San Diego band, Grand Ol Party? Well, they are now defunct but the still-adorable drummer/singer, Kristin Gundred is now heading up the band, Dum Dum Girls. Dum Dum Girls were actually signed to Sub Pop last summer and now they're playing at the Urban Outfitters stage at SXSW. I always get more than a little excited when one of our local bands goes big... even if Dum Dum Girls isn't really our own (I think they're out of LA) we can still claim Kristin from GOP.
