About a month ago, my sister and I needed to take a mental vacation from the insanity of life.  To do this, we did the only thing we know to do: run away to somewhere else... and go shopping.  We went to Palm Springs for an evening of shopping and eating and then came home at 10.  Yes, it's a two hour drive.  No, we didn't care.  It was nice to chat and sing along to songs and Palm Springs is our mellow-out spot.  Sorry, I know I've been on a P.S. kick lately but that's not really the point of this story.  While we were thrifting up in the Springs, we snagged two cute little mid-century stands for $15 each, which we figured were ash trays... since everything I ever find from the 60s is an ash tray.  She also scored a Halston scarf for $5 and I a Dior blazer for $15... again, beside the point.  Yesterday my sister pulled up Apartment Therapy to find our little "ash trays" on the front page... they're telephone stands and they're the new accessory to "keep an eye out for."  Who knew we were so forward-thinking?  You heard it here first second:  telephone stands.
