Artsy: Jonathan Adler is a copy cat

My friend, Nilo, sent me a link to these images last week and it kind of blew my mind.  This might not be news to you but it was to me!  Admittedly, I'm not too hip on my ceramicists and mid-century artists so I was pretty shocked to see these pieces by Aldo Londi for Bitossi~

photo is from Apartment Therapy so it's clearly not stop-the-press design news!

These make me think a couple of things: 1) shouldn't Jonathan Adler's stuff be cheaper if it's really a knock-off and 2) who can I rip-off to get famous and rich and have amazing houses filled with amazing mid-century objects?

I still love me some Jonathan Adler... he still has a great sense of humor and knows how to pick the perfect things to knock-off and he clearly comes up with plenty of things on his own (I want the banana and the peace sign hand!  These are for sure from his brain!)  Other Jonathan Adler fans, how does this make you feel?  Follow up question: do you want to start a business ripping off a different mid-century ceramicist with me?  Second follow-up question: what if we just rip-off Jonathan Adler?  Let's do this.  ;)  Just kidding, J.A.!
