While trying on shoes at Urban Outfitters today, I became entranced by an oversize book filled with glossy images of skateboarding from the 1970s. Locals Only is a photographic journal of the Los Angeles skateboarding scene from 1975 to 1978 as seen through the lens of Hugh Holland. Anytime I crack open a book that's filled with OP shorts, vintage sidewalk surfing, sweatbands and boys with long blond hair (aka miniature Dustys!) you don't have to tell me twice, it went directly into my shopping cart.
