We've been working in the front yard since our return from
Espana. There's so much to do out there that it's almost laughable. The driveway was covered in black asphalt after being repaved multiple times so it's way too high... not to mention incredibly unsightly. We need to replace our gingerbread house windows. We need to tear down these ugly rotted planters that hang on our garage. We need to paint. So badly. For now, we've settled on tackling the plants. Here's where we are so far:
All of those rocks lining the side need to be strategically placed but Dusty wants to stamp down the
DG one more time first. I don't know if this looks like much but it was a huge task. Ripping out weeds, raking back rocks, filling up with more dirt, laying a new weed guard, filling with DG, stamping down DG, digging through DG, dirt and weed guard to plant, making concrete molds, pouring concrete and perfecting the finish... you get the point! Let me clear one thing up: most of which was not done by me. Thanks to Dusty and awesome friends!
Here are just a couple more items I've been working on:
Hallway photo collage that is really hard to capture in photo due to the tightness of the hallway!
Hallway photo collage -- in progress -- other side of hall
Entryway and creeping Rufus
That's all I've got. I think I may have a few more after this weekend... fingers crossed!
