One of the benefits of living in a border town is the quick and easy access to an amazing cultural experience just down the road. Unfortunately, over the past few years, the drug wars have gotten so intense within Mexico that I just haven't felt safe heading down there as often as I used to. I used to take a couple hour drive and have access to amazing food (lobster!), art and beaches. Nowadays, trips to Mexico require a bit more advanced planning and definitely more precautions. I really am looking forward to the day when we can easily hop over the border for some impromptu Pacificos and lobster tacos. Until then, maybe we can either live vicariously through this couple OR plan a trip to Tulum!
Who wants to go to Hartwood? Anyone have advice on planning a super safe trip down to the tip of Mexico?
