SEW WITH M.O.M.
I took a sewing class a couple of months ago with one of my girlfriends and we had a blast... despite the fact that my zipper clutches came out looking like a 1st grader's craft project. Nevertheless, the class definitely made me want to keep working on my skills and I think I found the perfect way. The lovely ladies from m.o.m. (you may remember them from their cute Encinitas storefront, which now lives on via
Etsy and their
blog) are teaching in-home group sewing classes. All you have to do is gather 5-6 friends at your home and for $45 per student, you've got yourself a class. The only catch is that everyone needs to have a sewing machine to work on. Once you've got that covered, Bethany and Tere will provide the rest... from fabric and trim to ideas and instruction. Projects could be aprons, tote bags, pennant garlands and more... all in a patchwork-y m.o.m. vibe. I think this would make for a super fun girls night or party... just add snacks and a few beverages! I'm super excited to try it out! Get more info

here and if you want to schedule a class or just have questions, send Bethany or Tere an email
here.
