NATURAL BEAUTY RESOLUTIONS FOR 2016
Every year we all get pumped on the new leaves we'll be turning over in the new year. This year, I'm focusing on taking care of myself so I've rounded up some of my list of beauty resolutions. These beauty resolutions are all focused on natural solutions for the most part. Let me know in the comments if you've got anything else to add to the list or favorite products you love that I should try! 1. Clean your cellphone.
My aesthetician bugs me about this all the time, especially when I've got a breakout situation. It's easy to overlook but actually makes a big difference if you're on your phone a lot without headphones or bluetooth.
2. Wear your sunscreen.
The best way I've been able to incorporate this into my daily routine is to wear tinted moisturizer in place of foundation. I'm sure my make-up artist friends might cringe at that but it's the only way I can remember to put it on! Josie Maran tinted moisturizer is my fave.
3. Remember your eye cream.
This is one of those things I can get lazy about but when I'm actually on top of my game, I can tell the difference. I don't get a ton of sleep thanks to being a mom and small biz owner so eye cream is the best way for me to combat those under eye wrinkles and bags. I love this natural option from our shop.
4. Weekly (or twice a week!) face masks.
I wish I had time to get a facial once a month but I'm lucky if I can get there once a year. So instead I've tried to make it my goal to light a candle, take a bath and put on a face mask once a week. I'm OBSESSED with how this mask makes my face feel. After I take off the mask, I use this mist and I feel like a million bucks.
5. Do a hair mask.
I never do these but I should. Love your locks and lets mask our hair this year.
6. Get back on a smoothie or juice kick.
Here's one of my favorites. I actually haven't been making that bad boy for a while but now I'm motivating myself to do it! We drink a lot of Suja green juice (they sell it at Costco!) but I want to get more on top of my DIY juicing so I can sneak more good stuff into my kid's drinks!
7. Keep those pearly whites bright.
I like to do a tooth whitening treatment once a month to wash away those morning coffee stains. Once every couple of months, I use the whitening gel I get from my dentist but in between that, I use this natural tooth whitening polish.
8. Get your beauty rest.
Last but certainly not least, get more sleep! It's easier said than done but one of my resolutions this year is to at least get to bed before midnight so that when my son wakes up at the crack of dawn, it doesn't hurt quite as much. I love using this dreamweaver mist on my pillow to help me have sweet dreams.
