Hey!

So glad you stopped by! I’m a stylist + the owner of Gunn & Swain. This is my life + style blog where I talk about my creative projects, women who inspire me, new product launches, my home and family, and my love for San Diego and Southern California living.

Easter Painting DIY // Toddler Painting Project

I'm really into buying wood blanks for my toddler to paint for each holiday. It's a super easy craft that takes up about an hour of our day and he loves slapping the paint around freely. When the weather is nice, it's a super fun activity for outdoors but can be just as easy to do in the house with an old tablecloth on the kitchen table.

You can pretty much put out the supplies and let your kids go to town with their creativity. The only thing I recommend as far as guidance is to give them a color palette that matches the holiday or craft... otherwise they'll mix the paint together into one brown blob. For this Easter painting project, we went with a pastel palette of pink, white and blue. When my son mixed them all together, it turned into a really cool purple color with a bit of a tie dye effect from all of the other colors.
